Why don't they sell extra mechanical pencil erasers? Sure, when you buy mechanical pencils, the pack sometimes comes with extra erasers, but as far as I've seen, the erasers are not sold separately. If you know where I can buy some extra mechanical pencil erasers, please let me know so that I won't have to use a separate eraser or try to make a piece of eraser fit in my mechanical pencil.

ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess one reason is that "they" can sell more mechanical pencils.
Reply to apocryfeline's comment: You have a good point there. But you've reminded me - I found that those eraser toppers for regular pencils actually fit on two of my mechanical pencils (they're the same type), so unless they both get lost or broken, I'm fine. :)

ReplyDeleteAddressing author of previous comment: I think I might know why you get unbelievably hard every time you think of a pencil eraser. I have come across pencils with terrible erasers that, when used, blur what you're writing instead of erasing it and therefore leaving a blurry mess. So far, those erasers have not been soft (well, not really "soft" but more like moveable) but have instead been hard (almost like a rock) and often squeak when used.
